私は本当に楽しんだ。

Today is my friend's b-say!
I don't know if any of you noticed but a long time ago I added a link to a blog that I like very much! "IN SWEDEN" it was so interesting and fun to read. I recommend you all to take a look, very interesting to read about Sweden from a Japanese perspective, and it's both in English and Japanese!
Last weekend we all met up in our house! I was super nervous but it was SO nice. We had a lot of fun and laughed so much.

he wrote a bit about it in his blog:
EVERYONE CHECK IT OUT! >>

Namnsdag (Name day)

On friday it was my Name day!
Today is my name day!
Andreas and I usually celebrate name days a little at least, although this year Andreas spoiled me so much I'm almost getting a little suspicious j/k
I'm gonna go on an ever harder diet starting on monday so I think he thought it was a great oppurtunity to spoil me this weekend.

We had a wonderful dinner, he made me french onion soup.
French onion soup
tooo yummyy~~~~ *drools*

after that I even got a present...I got really suprised!
can't wait to try it out!

And later he came out with a dessert he had made.
Panna Cotta with blueberry and raspberry sauce~~

First time making it!...and it might not have looked super pretty but it tasted better than any I've had out in restaurants!! so creamy and heavenly~~

With dessert we tried out a sparkling wine I saw an ad for and bought a couple of weeks ago.

It was good!...although it tasted more like sweet cider than sparkling wine LOL so maybe we won't buy it again since this is a LOT more expensive than cider.

Hope you all had a great weekend too! I'm gonna spend some time editing some photos now (if Saga will let me) and probably update flickr later today.

I HAVE A CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*happydance*
I can't believe it!!!
it's a Canon eos 1000d

No more taking pics with my crappy (more than 8 years old!) point-and-shoot camera (or borrowing Andreas' Dad's).

Those of you that know me IRL especially are probably thinking:
"but... they are so poor" "how can she afford it??"

Okay let me get you the story behind everything. About two years ago I took a job in the midst of me working super hard with a lot of other things, I figured it would be worth working my ass off since I could make enough extra money to finally buy the camera I've been wanting (and needing for work even).
I did the work and even got sick for a couple of weeks because I worked myself out...but the money never came.
After A LOT of trouble, and like 3000 phonecalls I finally got my money!

..but things are so tight right now so even though they where always intended for the camera I just could not see how I could possibly use them for that.
A while ago I saw that they had "my camera" 1500 kr (~210 USD) cheaper than the cheapest place I've found (even compared to e-bay), as a christmas special. But I just couldn't do it. Andreas and I even fought about it! When I was completely in tears Andreas just said "I'm gonna go and order that camera, you worked for it and thats the end of this discussion". he is too wonderful. ..
I am glad he did though, I am so happy!
even though I know it's for work too, I just couldn't justify using all that money on something just to myself.
I'm so lucky to have Andreas

It's a pretty cheap camera for the pro photographer but it's JUST what I need. I spent months looking through reviews to find the PERFECT one for me. In time I will invest in lenses etc. (And when I feel really rich I can upgrade to a better canon camera and still have use for all extra stuff I have invested in)

ラッキ~~~~!

Sinterklaas!

This weekend we celebrated Sinterklaas
It all came about due to my friend Steven being Dutch and his sweet parents sending us all cute little Sinterklaas gifts!!
It was a lot of fun! We lit a lot of candles, played a lot of Xbox360(lol) ate cookies and drank lotsa Glögg.
Saga was loving it! she goes absolutely crazy when people come to visit.

We each got GIANT chocolate letters!

LOL together our letters spelled out the word "SAD" (Steven, Andreas & Diana)

I love candles, I can't get enough of them this time of year.

Sinfonia Drammatica.

Yesterday night my best friend treated me to dinner out and Sinfonia Drammatica.
It was amaaazing. I had so much fun!!! I've been to the first two "Play!" concerts (which I loved) but this time it felt much more professional, like a real classical concert. Not much talking, a much better behaved audience and NO SCREENS! Finally!
Chris Hülsbeck has been one of my fav composers since early childhood. I loved the music in Giana sisters so much (it was my fav game together with stunt car racer). When they played the great Giana Sisters Suite I got goosebumps all over and tears in my eyes. Those tunes are truly a big part of my childhood.
Suprisingly enough for me the song they played that I liked best besides that, was a song by Yoko Shimomura I've never heard before. I have to be honest and say I've not really heard much at all of her music before this. But the song "Echoes of the spiral" from Legend of Mana. Was by far good enough for me to wanna by her latest album just for that one song.

If this concert is held in your country city etc, don't pass it up!! even if you don't know much about the composers or the games the tunes are from it's a really enjoyable concert. I highly recommend it.

OH! and just before the concert I scared the shit out of, went up and said hi for the first time to someone I've known online for over eight years but never met! LOL I hope I didn't frighten her too much. it was fun though!

some photos~
